Warning signal

Modifiable Fee

The owner can change buy/sell taxes after launch via setFee/setTax functions.

Analyzer: Source-Code Analysis
Slug: modifiable_fee

What it means

The source exposes setFee, setTax, updateFee, setSellFee or similar. Launch fees mean nothing: the operator can raise the sell tax at any moment, up to a level that confiscates the position.

Why it matters

Fee-to-100% is the deferred honeypot. The token passes every launch check with 0/0 taxes, accumulates buyers, then one setFee transaction makes selling worthless. Monitoring catches the change, but only after it happened.

How RektRadar detects it

Source regex on fee-setter signatures. Post-launch fee events are monitored separately and raise fee_changed_post_launch when one fires.
